A Day at Tabi
Mornings at Tabi commence early, ensuring optimal opportunities for wildlife encounters during morning and evening game drives, when animal activity is at its peak.
Wake-up calls are accompanied by coffee and a selection of beverages upon request before dawn. Guests may choose to enjoy a packed breakfast on their morning excursion into the plains or enjoy a seated meal in the dining tent at camp before departure.
The early hours of your day will be dedicated to witnessing the breathtaking African sunrise and immersing yourself in the stunning landscapes, alive with the sights and sounds of wildlife awakening for another day in the Serengeti.
During your stay at camp, you’ll have the opportunity to partake in a variety of immersive experiences, including Balloon Safaris, cultural excursions to a local Maasai village, and other activities designed to create unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moments. For excursions farther from camp, guests will be provided with packed lunches and beverages to ensure a seamless and enjoyable adventure.

After returning from your late afternoon game drive, indulge in a carefully crafted dinner prepared by Tabi’s expert chef, renowned for both local specialties and international cuisine, offering a dining experience comparable to that of luxury resorts and hotels. Enjoy a selection of signature cocktails, fine spirits, and beers as you unwind. ‘This camp is the dream project of long-time friends Mahfuj Munshi and Libbie Bock. Mahfuj – a visionary leader who created The Singing Grass and In The Wind properties in the Serengeti – has a deep love and respect for the people and tribes of Tanzania. Libbie is an accomplished business leader in the US with a deep love and respect for Japan.’
Libbie Bock
Libbie was born in the mountainous regions of the United States, where she grew up surrounded by horses and the quiet rhythm of nature. Her deep connection to the natural world has shaped her journey ever since.
Years spent living in Japan inspired a lasting love for its culture—its elegance, simplicity, and attention to detail. Now in the Serengeti, Libbie brings this refined sensibility to the African wilderness, blending traditional African aesthetics with graceful Japanese influences.
Her vision adds a unique dimension to our camps—where two worlds meet in harmony, and where every space tells a story of cultural beauty and deep respect for nature.
Mahfuj Munshi
Mahfuj Munshi is a visionary leader and founder of The Singing Grass and In The Wind—two other acclaimed safari retreats in the Serengeti. His deep love and respect for local people, cultures, and landscapes have guided every step of his journey.
Mahfuj has been embraced by the Maasai elders and honored with the title of Laigwanan (leader), a rare recognition that reflects the trust and bond he has built with the community. His work has become an integral part of the Maasai story—supporting education, healthcare, and sustainable development rooted in mutual respect and long-term partnership.
